Artist Statement
My artistic practice investigates the tensions between the quiet wisdom of the natural world and the ambiguities of human behavior. Anchored in Pop Surrealism and Fantastic Realism, I construct allegorical narratives where the apparent innocence of childhood meets the density of the contemporary psyche.
In my work, introspective characters coexist with animals depicted through rigorous anatomical precision. Far from functioning as mere whimsical motifs, fauna acts as an ethical compass: while animals inhabit genuine instinct and ecological harmony, human figures expose vulnerability, the persistent desire for validation, and the social masks adopted for everyday survival. Symbolic archetypes, cycles of metamorphosis, and dreamlike atmospheres turn each composition into a critical fable on modern existence.
This inquiry manifests across both two-dimensional and sculptural mediums. In drawing and painting, working with graphite, ballpoint pen, oil, and mixed media. I rely on dramatic chiaroscuro and classical draftsmanship to shape light as a psychological and anatomical revealer.
As a three-dimensional extension of this poetics, I create modeled sculptures and toy art pieces through the upcycling of discarded packaging and industrial remnants. In this body of work, environmental awareness leaves the realm of representation to become the substrate itself: transforming discarded materials into art reaffirms creation as an act of ecological conscience and regeneration.
